IMS Speed improvements have been completed ready for the 2024 irrigation season.
All IMS users will now benefit from a faster and more responsive web experience.
These improvements are part of our ongoing commitment and development of the IMS platform.
The work completed includes:
Refactored APIs
This minimises database operations related to the farm and group lists/cards and now retrieves only the necessary data for the page.
Implement Lazy Loading
The group page has been redesigned to implement lazy loading for group details.
Database Queries
Optimised the database queries to significantly reduce RAM usage by minimising the amount of data retrieved.
Database Improvements
The database structure has been cleaned up and refactored to eliminate unnecessary data storage.
Other improvements include more support for the powerful new v2 gateway and Tank Level Monitoring with pump control.
The IMS platform also uses Amazon’s AWS environment, a world class facility to help provide the best security, speed and reliability for IMS.
The development team have analysed the system performance and identified areas for further improvement.
We will keep you updated on this and provide more details another time.
We trust that you notice and enjoy the speed improvements made.
